Ultrasound workshop

The activities of the Arbaeen Medical Detachments affiliated with the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) continue. They are committed to providing quality medical services to pilgrims commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), in addition to organizing scientific training workshops for our dear students.
In this context, the International Imamate Organization (IMI) held a specialized ultrasound workshop, which addressed the basics of ultrasound imaging and its uses in medical diagnosis. The workshop was supervised by a group of distinguished medical personnel.
These activities aim to enhance students' field experience and hone their practical skills, making them better prepared to serve the community.

A new international student achievement for the College of Medicine - Warith Al-Anbiya University

A student from the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University successfully completed a one-month medical internship at the Serbian Clinical Center University in Belgrade, Serbia, as part of the International Exchange Program of the Iraqi Medical Students Association (IFMSA).The internship included working in an advanced European medical environment and learning about the healthcare systems there, with a focus on cardiology. The internship also included attending and observing operating rooms and interacting with students and physicians from around the world, providing a valuable opportunity to engage with foreign expertise and broaden medical and cultural horizons.The Deanship of the College of Medicine expresses its pride in the achievements of its students and is committed to supporting them in their academic and professional journeys toward excellence and community service.

This would not have been possible without the desire, knowledge, and skill of this good group of our sons and daughters, which enabled them to perform this great task. The evaluations we received from the doctors supervising the work of our volunteer students were wonderful and a source of pride for us all. All supervisors noted the high discipline of our dear students, in addition to their academic potential and clinical skills, which qualify them to work at all times and under the most difficult conditions. This undoubtedly reflects the efforts of the college's professors in training and developing the theoretical, practical, and clinical skills of our dear students. In the presence of the Deputy Minister of Youth, a student from Warith Al-Anbiya University presents a first aid workshop.

Muhammad Ali Al-Mousawi, a sixth-year student from the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), delivered a Basic Life Support (BLS) first aid training workshop to a group of students from various medical colleges. The workshop was hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports - Scientific Care Department, and attended by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports. The workshop included training participants on the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency response, and was met with great interaction from attendees who praised the level of preparation and presentation.

A specialized scientific workshop for medical students within the Forty Detachments

As part of the medical detachments' activities to serve pilgrims commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and in cooperation with the International Imamiyya Organization (IMI), a scientific workshop was organized for medical students entitled: "Fluids Management and Electrolytes Disturbance." The workshop was presented by Dr. Ali Abbas Naqavi from the United States of America. He discussed the latest methods in fluid management and the treatment of electrolyte disturbances in the body, with realistic clinical cases presented to enhance students' practical understanding. This event aims to develop medical students' skills and enhance their academic proficiency by providing them with the opportunity to interact directly with international medical expertise, contributing to the preparation of a qualified medical generation to serve the community and honorable pilgrims during the blessed pilgrimage.

As part of the humanitarian and service role of Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, a number of students from the College of Medicine participated in providing medical and therapeutic services as part of the medical staff at the Imam Hussein Ambassador Hospital. This field participation was under the direct supervision and attendance of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi; the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Laith Muhammad Abbas Al-Husseini; and the Director of Legal Affairs, Dr. Sabah Muhammad Al-Jubouri. They inspected the work sites and learned about the nature of the services provided by the students to the honorable visitors, which included medical examinations, treatment, first aid, and health guidance services.The Deanship of the College emphasized that this participation comes within the framework of instilling the values of giving and generosity among students and honing their practical skills in a service-oriented and humanitarian environment, in line with the university's mission to serve the community.

Development Workshop in Medical Education - College of Medicine, Warith Al-Anbiya University

The College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University (PBUH) held a development workshop in cooperation with the Imam al-Sadiq International Digital University (SIVU) and the Imamia International Medics Foundation. The workshop was attended by a select group of international lecturers specializing in medical education and members of the international FAIMER organization.
The workshop witnessed broad scholarly interaction on its first and second days and a great deal of interest in modern educational techniques. It addressed various topics, focusing on modern assessment methods, formulating questions according to precise scientific curricula, and the role of artificial intelligence in developing and improving medical education.
In an atmosphere of appreciation and recognition, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Ali Abdul Saadoun al-Ghazi, honored the lecturers in recognition of their scientific efforts and active contributions to the success of this workshop.

Academic Cooperation Agreement

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the medical education environment and develop the scientific and research capabilities of its students, the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) signed an academic cooperation agreement with Al-Riyada International Training and Development Company in the holy city of Karbala.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the College of Medicine by Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College, and Dr. Farhan Abdullah Mubarak, Chief Operating Officer (COO), represented Al-Riyada International Company. This important step reflects the commitment of both parties to building an effective and sustainable partnership that contributes to serving medical education in accordance with the latest international academic standards.
This agreement aims to provide advanced training opportunities for students of the College of Medicine on campus by organizing specialized workshops in the fields of scientific research, emergency skills and dealing with critical cases, and developing the medical English language. These workshops are supervised by experienced staff, with no financial obligations to the student or the college.
The agreement also stipulates cooperation in the field of Continuing Medical Education (CME) by contributing to the development of training and development programs that keep pace with scientific developments. It also includes involving students in future research projects under the supervision of experts from both sides. This will contribute to enhancing their research proficiency and raising their readiness to contribute to scientific progress at the local and international levels.
The College of Medicine believes that openness to reputable academic and professional institutions constitutes a strategic step toward developing medical education. Warith Al-Anbiya University and the World Health Organization organize an advanced workshop on crowd medicine management.

Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), organized a qualitative training workshop entitled "Crowd Medicine Management." The workshop was attended by (40) students from the university's colleges of medicine and nursing.The workshop aimed to develop students' skills and enhance their preparedness to deal with large crowds from a medical and organizational perspective, particularly during religious pilgrimage seasons and major public events.The workshop included theoretical and practical topics addressing the foundations of crowd management, emergency health procedures, and rapid response and organization mechanisms.This event is part of the university's efforts, in cooperation with international institutions, to enhance the practical aspect of medical education and prepare cadres capable of dealing with health challenges in environments with temporary population density.

A Humanitarian Initiative to Detect Heart Diseases in Orphans

Based on the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility, and in the presence of the University President, Professor Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), in cooperation with the Mercy Organization for Child Health, organized a humanitarian health initiative for early detection of heart disease among a number of orphaned children from the Imam Reza (peace be upon him) Charitable Foundation, affiliated with the representative office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Sayyid Ali Al-Husseini Al-Sistani (may his shadow endure) in the holy city of Karbala.The initiative was supervised by a specialized medical team, where cardiac examinations were conducted with precision and care to diagnose potential cases and provide treatment recommendations.The initiative also contributed to the clinical training of a number of medical students within a realistic, humanitarian environment, reflecting the essence of the medical profession, which is built on compassion and giving.

The President of Warith al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), Professor Ibrahim Saeed al-Hayawi, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Ali al-Ghazi, conducted a field tour to inspect the medical detachments participating in providing health services to visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) during the Ashura ceremonies. The tour included an inspection of the workflow of the field detachments in which medical students participate, and an assessment of their readiness to deal with emergency situations and provide first aid. The College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) organized a training workshop for its students, in preparation for providing medical services to pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) during the flag-changing ceremony of the two holy shrines on the first of Muharram. The workshop included lectures and practical training on first aid and emergency evacuation, in preparation for participation in this occasion, which witnesses a large public turnout.

Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University, held an important meeting attended by Professor Dr. Nawfal Al-Araji, Administrative Assistant to the University President, as well as a number of faculty members and staff.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Ghazi presented a comprehensive development plan aimed at enhancing student academic performance and developing the skills of teaching staff. This plan also includes improving summer training programs and organizing weekly events that support the educational and administrative process. The necessary preparations for obtaining academic accreditation were also reviewed, which represents an important step toward achieving international quality standards in medical education.
